This tournament will be a two pool and
double elimination format. Pool play will decide placement in brackets.
No
games on Friday unless absolutely necessary.
Your team must be registered with USFA.
Proof
of insurance, birth certificates, and a signed roster must be presented at check in. Birth certificates must be available
upon request at any time during the tournament. Teams must register at tournament headquarters before starting 1st game.
The tournament director reserves the right to delay or reschedule games as needed.
In case of rain delays, a restricted schedule may be implemented. Any rain out games will be canceled without money refunded.
The head coach is responsible for finding out changed game times in the event of rain. Any changes due to weather will be
posted on this site.
Gate admission will be charged for everyone except
(3) coaches per team, players, and children under 6.
Entry
fee is $200 with a 4 game guarantee. (Weather permitting). This is a USFA sanctioned
tournament.
8U plays for $175 with 2 umpires.
Pool game
times will be 1 hour and 10 minutes. There will be a mercy rule in effect: (10 runs after 3 innings and 8 runs after
5 innings). For bracket games ending in a tie, the international tiebreaker will be used. Bracket games will be 1 hour
and 15 minutes with the mercy rules and tie breaker in effect.
Bracket play seeding will be determined by:
- Overall Record
- Head to Head
- Run Differential
- Coin Toss
Home team will be decided by coin toss. In the championship round the winners
bracket team will be home. In the event of an "if" game the home team will be determined by coin toss. Line up cards
are to be turned in to the official scorekeeper before each game. Home
team is responsible for keeping the official scorebook.
Protest
fee is $175.00 cash. The fee will be returned if the protest is allowed. Any dispute on a rule interpretation will be settled
immediately by the UIC before the game continues.
Rain policy:
In the event of a rain-shortened weekend, first we will eliminate
pool games then if needed go to a single elimination tournament, if pool games have been played then those games will count
as tournament games if needed. If we are unable to finish all rounds, then win-loss records including pool
play, runs allowed, head to head, etc. will determine tournament champions. If all other means have been used a coin toss
will determine winners
